Last week, President Biden announced the particulars of his upcoming COVID vaccine mandate. The 46th president declared days ago that his requirement for American workers to get the COVID vaccine or test for the virus on a weekly basis will begin on January 4, less than two months from today.
Biden furthermore made it clear that OSHA will be used as a tool to bully individuals and businesses into submission. According to the current administration, businesses that fail to adhere to the mandate can face fines of $14,000 per offense.
Naturally, the public hasn’t taken this rolling over. A multitude of states have since sued the Biden administration over such a flagrantly unlawful mandate. Now, Breitbart News confirms the Federal Appeals Court put a temporary standstill on the president’s mandate, pending further review.
A Closer Look at the Pause on Biden’s Mandate
Just yesterday, a panel comprised of three judges determined “grave” constitutional and statutory problems exist within Biden’s federal vaccine mandate. Therefore, the mandate is on a stay until the court takes additional measures.
This ruling comes as a result of multiple states and businesses groups suing to shut down Biden’s mandate regarding COVID vaccines once and for all. Ken Paxton, the Republican attorney general of Texas, cheered the Federal Appeals Court’s decision yesterday.
Yesterday, I sued the Biden Admin over its unlawful OSHA vax mandate.
WE WON. Just this morning, citing “grave statutory and constitutional issues,” the 5th Circuit stayed the mandate. The fight is not over and I will never stop resisting this Admin’s unconstitutional overreach! pic.twitter.com/okt2vkNRKo

Paxton declared victory, noting the fight goes on and vowing he’ll continue to push back against this radical, unlawful mandate from the Biden administration. The Texas attorney general was not the only one to cheer the decision of the court. Other Republicans and different business groups celebrated also.
Eric Schmitt, the attorney general of Missouri, argued in litigation that Biden’s vaccine mandate goes beyond his authority as president and would engender severe economic harm.
Silence from the Biden Administration
With such a blow from the Federal Appeals Court so early in the game, many Americans turned to the White House, eager to learn what its response would be. However, the White House has yet to weigh in on the matter.
Biden previously stated he believes his federal vaccine mandate will hold up. However, other leaders (like Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who has also worked as a prosecutor) maintain that a federal vaccine mandate of this magnitude will die in the courts.
DeSantis: “Those individuals who have gone through a normal vaccination series for COVID—you will be determined to be unvaccinated very soon…They’re gonna to tell you: ‘You have to get a booster, otherwise you could face loss of employment’…This is just the tip of the iceberg.” pic.twitter.com/hGe5t4YJ8O

Other Republicans have noted what Biden is trying to do is reserved for states to decide upon, not the president. Time is going to determine what future choices the court makes on this mandate; it will also seriously impact the American economy and whether or not tyranny thrives going into 2022.
Are you glad the Federal Appeals Court has stopped the president’s national vaccine mandate in its tracks for now? Do you believe Biden’s mandate will be ultimately ruled as illegal, unconstitutional, and therefore unenforceable? Let us know in the comments section below.
