China Ready To Attack Taiwan Because of Pelosi

In retaliation for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi landing in Taiwan on Tuesday, communist China is going to initiate military operations that will encircle Taiwan with military forces.

Pelosi was the first Speaker of the House to visit Taiwan since Newt Gingrich’s trip in 1997. China keeps claiming Taiwan as a part of its territory, which caused China to put its Navy on high alert.

Unshakable Commitment

Pelosi noted in a statement made upon her arrival that the visit of the congressional delegation to Taiwan reflects America’s unshakable commitment to assist Taiwan’s thriving democracy.

The visit is part of a more extensive tour of the Indo-Pacific, including stops in Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea, and Japan. It is centered on cooperative security, economic engagement, and democratic government.

China’s Defense Ministry announced it would execute “targeted military activities” in reaction to Pelosi’s visit.

Shi Yi, a representative for the Eastern Theater Command, issued a statement in which he said the following:

“This activity is targeted at the United States disturbing recent major intensification on the Taiwan matter. It exists to serve as a strong warning to Taiwanese freedom forces or those wanting independence.”

The Chinese government announced that military operations would begin on August 4 in six different areas that surround the island.

Pelosi penned an op-ed in the Washington Post shortly after her arrival on the island, explaining why she was there. Pelosi stated under the Taiwan Relations Act, the U.S. pledged to assist in protecting Taiwan.

The Act also said the U.S. would take into account any effort to dictate the outcome of Taiwan through non-peaceful means as a risk to the peace and stability of the Western Pacific region and a matter of grave concern for the U.S.

Vow to Taiwan

Pelosi remarked the United States must remember this pledge. “We must support Taiwan, a resilient island nation. Beijing has substantially escalated relations with Taiwan in recent years.”

The People’s Republic of China (PRC) increased patrols of bombers, fighter jets, and reconnaissance aircraft near and even above Taiwan’s air defense area.

This prompted the United States Department of Defense to arrive at the conclusion that China’s army is probably getting ready for a fallback position to forcibly unify Taiwan with the PRC.

Pelosi noted the PRC has also fought in cyberspace, unleashing dozens of strikes every day against Taiwanese government entities.

“Simultaneously, Beijing is exerting economic pressure on Taiwan, forcing multinational firms to sever connections with the island, intimidating nations cooperating with Taiwan, and restricting PRC travel.”

“The visit of our congressional delegation should be interpreted as an unequivocal declaration that the United States of America continues to stand with Taiwan, our democratic ally.”

This comes as it tries to protect itself and its liberty in the face of the escalating aggression of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
