DeSantis’ Political Momentum is Continuing to Rise

It has become very much apparent that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ stock in the political world is on the rise like never before.

More and more Republicans are showing support for DeSantis making a presidential run, especially after he handily secured reelection in Florida just last month.

On top of that, betting markets and various polls continue to show DeSantis with widening leads over former President Trump. Many GOP members who favor conservative policies, yet are tired of Trump’s antics, want DeSantis to be the new leader of the Republican Party.

However, as DeSantis’ stock increases, attacks on him from the left wing are following suit. This time, one of the latest attacks against the Florida governor is tied in with his family, according to Red State.

A New Level of Desperation

Florida media personality Lesley Abravanel is one of the latest to lob baseless onslaughts against the Florida governor. This time, the attacks pertain to the 2015 passing of DeSantis’ sister.

Abravanel, taking to social media, latched onto the fact that DeSantis’ family wanted privacy after his sister died. The media personality described the request for privacy as “shady,” seemingly inferring that there’s more to the story than what the DeSantis family was letting on.

Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time Abravanel has gone after DeSantis or his family.

She’s made remarks about Florida first lady Casey DeSantis, in addition to falsely alleging that Hurricane Ian earlier this year resulted in people from Sanibel/Pine Island possibly committing suicide.

At this rate, DeSantis’ critics will continue coming up with new bile, especially if he decides to run for president in 2024.

Even the White House has made targeted attacks against the Florida governor, more than it has gone after any other GOP members holding governors offices.

Bigger Fish to Fry

As the country faces considerable numbers of issues, many Americans are looking for a leader who can pull things back from the brink. On the Republican side, more of the base is getting disillusioned with former President Trump.

Conservatives are also looking at the successes DeSantis has enjoyed in Florida, stating his leadership would do even more good at the national level.

Interestingly enough, as DeSantis becomes more popular, Trump has actually joined Democrats in making untrue, unmerited claims against him.

At this rate, time will tell whether or not the Florida governor decides to run for the White House. Though if he does, polling and other data shows he’ll have a much better shot at delivering a win for Republicans than former President Trump.
