Governor of Texas Announces New Pardon

Most Americans can remember the violent BLM riots that took place during summer of 2020. Communities were set on fire, properties were destroyed, and disgruntled demonstrators came to physical blows with law enforcement.

Despite all the damage that was done, many folks managed to evade accountability for what happened during this time. There certainly haven’t been widespread panels or investigations into the matter.

Nevertheless, many members of the community had their lives turned upside down and their businesses destroyed.

Now, one official involved in a shooting during these riots will be received a pardon from Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, according to Breitbart News.

What’s Going on?

Last week, Army Sergeant Daniel Perry was convicted in Texas court for the shooting of BLM demonstrator Garret Foster. Perry maintains that Foster pulled a high-powered rifle on him after other rioters trapped him inside his vehicle.

In a statement, Abbott declared that Perry’s encounter with Foster falls under the umbrella of Texas’ Stand Your Ground laws. This, along with the recommendation from the Board of Pardons and Paroles, is why the Texas governor announced he’s moving to pardon Perry.

Predictable Reactions

Ever since the Texas governor made this announcement, Democrats have brought out the knives and pitchforks. They’re calling Perry a killer and saying the verdict against him should stand as is.

Likewise, Abbott is being attacked by Democrats who disagree with his decision to move forward with a pardon.

Ironically, Democrats did not collectively have an issue when the summer 2020 riots were ripping across various cities.

In fact, there were numerous occasions when the left supported the mayhem and claimed violent protesters were justified in committing vandalism, arson, assault, and other similar crimes.

Finally, it’s worth noting that the district attorney who pursued legal action against Perry was one heavily funded by leftist billionaire George Soros.
