Ted Cruz May Run for President in 2024

Speculations about the 2024 presidential election remain alive and well. While the election is about three years away, many Americans are very much looking forward to the opportunity to get Joe Biden out of office.

Biden’s presidency has been a disaster on many fronts. Americans are struggling because of his policies. Furthermore, the president continues to prove himself as widely aloof and disconnected from the stances and viewpoints of everyday people.

There’s a lot of talk about 2024 and whether or not Biden will even run. Biden himself has recently appeared to give himself an out, should he decided not to run.

According to the 46th president, he will only seek a second term if he believes himself to be in good health. However, if Biden does run again, Republican Ted Cruz could end up being the opponent he faces, as Fox News confirms.

Cruz vs. Biden?

During a Truth Gazette interview, Cruz informed that there is absolutely a possibility of him seeking the presidency in 2024. As many Americans may remember, Ted Cruz ran for the White House in 2016; however, Donald Trump ultimately got the Republican Party’s nomination.

Nevertheless, Cruz told Truth Gazette he thoroughly enjoyed being a presidential candidate. The Texas senator described it as the most fun he ever had and declared he’d make another run for it “in a heartbeat.”

Cruz furthermore stated that it’s not common for the runner-ups who don’t make it in one primary to evenly win the next go-around. This is fitting, seeing as Cruz came in second place to Trump during the 2016 presidential race.

Time will tell whether or not Cruz ultimately decides to throw his hat in the ring, be it in 2024, 2028, or even further down the line. Currently, his term as a US Senate has a few more years left before expiration.

Who Else Could Challenge Biden in 2024?

Ted Cruz, at this time, is one of many contenders who could run on the Republican side in the 2024 presidential election.

Other possibilities include Ron DeSantis, the GOP governor of Florida, former Trump aide Mike Pompeo, South Dakota Republican Governor Kristi Noem, and others.

Furthermore, there exists the possibility of Trump making yet another run for the White House in 2024. The 45th president has strongly hinted at plans to run for a second term yet again, once the time arrives.

However, with the midterms coming up in 2022, Trump is expected to hold off on making any announcements until seeing how the power balance in Congress looks after November.
