A citizen-led investigation examining nearly one million documents from Detroit’s November 2020 election has uncovered that 12.4% of absentee ballots from taxpayer-subsidized housing addresses were counted without the official return envelopes required by Michigan law.
Massive Volunteer Effort Uncovers Violations
Over 100 volunteers led by New Jersey resident Yehuda Miller and Check My Vote founder Phani Mantravadi are reviewing election documents that Detroit fought to withhold until a judge forced their release. The team built a custom website to organize over 155,000 digitized absentee ballot envelopes, examining each one for irregularities. Michigan law MCL 168.764a requires every absentee ballot to be returned in the official state-issued envelope containing the voter’s signature certificate. Clerks cannot legally process ballots received without proper envelopes.
Evidence of System Failures
The investigation revealed troubling cases including a voter registered at a confirmed non-existent address—8286 Auburn Street in Detroit. This person received an absentee ballot, voted, and then mysteriously disappeared from Michigan voter rolls. Another ballot envelope showed a German address on the USPS delivery label but was officially stamped as received on October 3, 2020, despite the voter’s signature being dated October 30, 2020—a physical impossibility.
Questions About Official Knowledge
The findings raise questions about whether Detroit City Clerk Janice Winfrey knew ballots were being counted without required envelopes. In 2020, Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson was admonished by a judge for mailing 7.7 million unsolicited voter applications statewide without proper approval. She also directed local clerks to ignore signature verification requirements during the state’s largest mail-in election, when strict chain-of-custody rules were essential. The volunteer team continues triple-checking findings before releasing complete discrepancy numbers between absentee ballots received versus official envelopes submitted by Detroit.

In the years prior to Slick Willie Clinton running for President all voters cast their Ballots at Common Polling Sites in San Bernardino County California except for those who had asked for an Absentee Ballot. Starting with the ruin of The United States Of America under the Presidency of Slick Willie Clinton Rural Republicans have been forced to vote by mail because we are not assigned a Polling Place.
The Registrar Of Voters claim that there are not enough Republicans to warrant assigning us a Polling Place. B! S! We can mail our Ballots in and hope they do not get lost or we can drop them at the Registrar’s office or any Polling Place. If we drop them at a polling Place there is a Yellow Box for Republican Ballots, a Green Box for Independents and a Blue Box for American Independents unless they change the colors. Makes it easy to control Republican and Independent votes if you ask me.
As a Republican my right to vote in person at a Polling Place has been stolen from me and there is no evidence that I voted because we are not listed on the role of voters at any Polling place. I can later go on line and verify if my ballot was received but not if it was counted. This time we are supposed to be able to track our Ballots to verify they were received.
I have not had any confidence in our voting process here in California since this first started so they could get B. Clinton elected. In 2016 the Democrats sneaked Ballot harvesting into California Voter Law without any input from the voters so you can see why I have no faith in The Democrat, Communist, Socialist, Nazi, ANTIFA loving Terrorist Party!
